Project Thunderbolt, The LS3 V8 Miata - Part 9: Suspension, Driveline & Wiring!
In this update, we’ve turned the hustle knob up to 11 in order to get Project Thunderbolt on the road before the next ice age. First on the task list are the suspension’s control arms, which needed a thorough restoration and some stiffer bushings installed in order to help reign in our newfound performance.
Next it was time to install the remaining driveline components along with our newly refreshed rear control arms. After working on plumbing both the brake and fuel lines it was time for the job that practically every car guy dreads- wiring. More specifically, wiring the LS3 engine and then adapting the engine to our Miata’s electrical system. Thankfully Chevrolet Performance and Summit Racing are here to make that job as easy as possible. Wiring will always be a big, complicated job, but the right parts make all the difference in the world.
